About Saba
If you've been carrying everything on your own for longer than you'd like to admit, or you're living between cultures and want a counsellor who understands what that can take, Saba may be a great match for you. She works with adults, teens, couples, and groups and offers sessions in both English and Farsi.
Saba's work is grounded in humanistic, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive values, drawing on a range of approaches to meet each person where they are. In the room, that means moving at the speed of trust. Together, you’ll pay attention to what is spoken, what is felt, and what may still be waiting to emerge, trusting that each part of your story will unfold in its own time. She doesn't expect you to arrive with the right words.
Saba does her best work with people navigating life transitions, identity shifts, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma. She also works with couples who feel caught in recurring patterns, experience disconnection, or face communication challenges. She's a strong match for anyone who's been on the fence about counselling because it feels unfamiliar or complicated in their family, community, or culture. She also brings experience supporting neurodivergent children and youth, as well as coaching clients through personal and professional challenges.
Clients describe Saba as warm, calm and easy to open up to, with a way of asking thoughtful questions that helps them feel understood and gain insight. Her guiding belief is that healing begins with feeling truly heard, seen and accepted. Her approach to counselling is collaborative and relational, without judgment or pressure.
