About Sam
Hello, I’m Sam (Samantha is okay too).
I believe therapy is not about fixing who you are; it is about developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
My work is grounded in values of honesty, authenticity, curiosity, compassion, connection, accountability, spirituality, and a commitment to addressing systemic oppression. I believe healing happens when we are welcomed as whole humans and can explore every part of ourselves with curiosity rather than shame.
As a late-diagnosed Autistic and ADHD ("AuDHD") person, and a mother of two biracial children navigating both the postpartum season and the teenage years, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience into my work. I understand the impact of masking, feeling misunderstood, balancing the many roles we hold, challenging the status quo, and navigating systems that were not always designed with neurodivergent people in mind.
Clients often describe me as direct, curious, and authentic. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped you or keep you stuck, reconnect with your values, and create meaningful change that feels authentic to you. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, accepted, and supported without needing to hide parts of yourself. I support individuals navigating:
• Late-diagnosed ADHD and Autism (AuDHD)
• Masking, burnout, and overwhelm
• Anxiety, emotional regulation, and nervous system support
• Trauma, shame, and identity exploration
• Parenting, caregiving, and supporting others while feeling depleted
• Faith exploration, spirituality, and religious trauma
• Helping professionals, leaders, and caregivers
My approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, anti-oppressive, decolonizing, and compassionate. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS/Parts Work), nervous system and polyvagal-informed approaches, somatic awareness, and experiential techniques. Sessions are collaborative and flexible, blending reflection, practical tools, visuals, resources, and experiential exercises tailored to your needs.
Clinical Supervision & Group Offerings
Alongside counselling, I provide clinical supervision for both new and experienced therapists. My supervision style is collaborative, relational, and supportive, with a focus on building clinical confidence, navigating complex client work, and developing an authentic therapeutic approach.
I also offer group therapy, workshops, and group supervision, creating spaces for connection, shared learning, and meaningful growth through community.
With over a decade of experience supporting adolescents through older adults across schools, hospitals, community organizations, and private practice, I am passionate about creating brave, honest spaces where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to make choices aligned with their values.
If you're looking for a therapist who combines professional knowledge with lived experience and offers a compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming space, we may be a good fit. My hope is that our work together helps you better understand and accept yourself, reconnect with your values, and build a life that reflects what matters most to you.
