Samantha is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta with a background in addictions, mental health, and psychological assessment. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Addictions Counselling and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and she has been working in the field since 2013.
Samantha brings a strong foundation in clinical counselling and has worked with clients across a wide range of ages and cultural backgrounds, including extensive experience supporting Indigenous populations and individuals with complex, concurrent disorders. Her work has spanned individual and group counselling, assessment and treatment planning, relapse prevention, and multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care.
Samantha takes a collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients explore meaningful change, develop coping strategies, and build on their existing strengths.
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and her two cats. She is an avid animal lover and also enjoys reading, going for walks, trying out new crafts with her kids, cooking, baking, and travelling.
