Samuel’s work with couples and families focuses on concerns about communication, intimacy, separation and divorce, co-parenting, blended family, and infidelity. His work with individuals focuses on emotional and mood challenges, stress and exhaustion, addictive behaviours, and careers. As a substance abuse professional (SAP), he conducts back-to-work evaluations for people with substance use issues. Samuel works closely with persons in the 2SLGBTQ+ community and considers himself a strong ally. In his work in therapy, Samuel adopts culturally-informed practices to better appreciate clients’ worldviews and beliefs in ways that honour, validate, and foster a solid working relationship with them.
