In their own words
If you've spent enough time being misunderstood, hurt or self-critical that you no longer quite recognise the person in the mirror, Sara works with people in exactly this territory. She works with adults, teens (16 and up), couples and families, and her sessions tend to feel conversational, curious and clever.
Sara draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Gestalt Therapy. In the room, that often looks like asking good questions, noticing patterns and blind spots and offering a metaphor or visualisation when it might unlock something.
Sara does her best work with people who want to sit in the metaphorical passenger seat with her and re-pave the path back to a version of themselves that got lost along the way. She works well with clients navigating identity, relationships, life transitions, anxiety and the aftermath of experiences that have shaped how they see themselves.
Clients often say Sara asks good questions and makes them feel as though they've known her longer than they actually have. She names her own guiding principle as being there, but never a square.
