Bilateral Movement for Regulation
“Move Your Body, Steady Your Mind
A Gentle Introduction to Bilateral Movement for Regulation
If you’ve ever felt "wired but tired," caught in a loop of overthinking, or simply overwhelmed by the pace of life, your nervous system might just need a new language. Most of us try to "think" our way out of stress, but true calm often starts from the neck down.
Our Bilateral Movement for Regulation group is a warm, skills-based space designed to help you find your center. We use simple, rhythmic "left-right" patterns - like gentle tapping, swaying, or cross-body actions - to help your brain and body communicate more effectively.
What We Do (and Why It Works)
Bilateral movement is a natural way to "reset" the nervous system. By gently engaging both sides of your body, you can shift out of "high alert" mode and back into a state of focus and flow. In this group, we don't just talk about regulation; we practice it together in real-time.
Simple, Accessible Tools: You’ll learn rhythmic movements and grounding techniques that you can use anywhere - at your desk, in your car, or before bed.
A "Skills-Not-Stories" Space: This is an educational and experiential group. We focus entirely on the present moment. We won’t be diving into past trauma.
Your Pace, Your Choice: You are always in the driver’s seat. Every movement is an invitation, not a requirement. You are encouraged to modify, pause, or simply observe whenever you need to.
Is This Group for Me?
This group is a wonderful fit for anyone looking for practical, body-based tools to:
Navigate daily anxiety or "brain fog."
Soothe that restless, "on-edge" feeling.
Find a sense of "groundedness" when life feels chaotic.
Build a personal "toolkit" for emotional balance and focus.
A Note on Safety & Suitability
Because our focus is on gentle skill-building rather than intensive therapy, this group is best suited for individuals who are currently in a stable place emotionally.
This group is likely not the right fit at this time if:
You are currently in an acute crisis or seeking intensive trauma processing.”Openings checked 53 min ago · prices come straight from the clinic — never marked up
