Sarah’s physiotherapy philosophy recognizes the importance of individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices to achieve each client’s personal goals. She uses a multifaceted approach, with a focus on strengthening and active recovery. Sarah grew up in the small town of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of BC. During this time, Sarah’s activity of choice was dance, practicing in both recreational and competitive settings. After 15 years of practice, Sarah received her Dance Teacher certification and taught a variety of classes for children. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria. After graduating, she worked as a kinesiologist running an occupational rehabilitation program. While in Victoria, Sarah began working in the field of sports therapy, volunteering as an athletic trainer at the Velox Valhalians Rugby Football Club. For 6 years, Sarah continued working in rugby as a physiotherapist on the medical team at the World Rugby Canada Sevens tournament at BC Place. After receiving her Master of Physical Therapy from UBC, Sarah began working at City Sports + Physio Clinic. Sarah has additional training in vestibular and concussion physiotherapy, helping clients overcome dizziness, vertigo, balance impairments, eye strain, and headaches resulting from head injuries or other disorders. Sarah has taken GLA:D Canada training which focuses on education and exercises for the management of hip and knee osteoarthritis. Sarah is certified in IMS dry needling through Foundations Health Education. Sarah’s background in dance, occupational rehabilitation, and sports therapy allows her to effectively address a wide variety of client presentations. With these assets, Sarah is confident that she can meet your physiotherapy needs. **Please note that Sarah will be off work from October 27 to December 7, 2025.** NOTE: Sarah is not currently accepting NEW Concussion patients.

Delivered only by Physiotherapists trained in Pilates. You must have had a physiotherapy assessment done prior to starting Clinical Pilates. If you have not yet been assessed, your first appointment will be a physiotherapy assessment, not a pilates session. Physio+ Pilates is done in conjunction with your physiotherapy appointment throughout the healing stages of your injury and working on a specific issue.

Enhance your running performance with a detailed 75-minute assessment by Shirin. This session includes a thorough evaluation of your running-specific strength, mobility, and movement patterns. Your running technique will be recorded and analyzed on a treadmill to assess your gait mechanics. Based on the findings, you’ll receive a personalized intervention plan, including a structured running program and targeted exercises tailored to your needs. Follow-up physiotherapy sessions are available to refine your technique, adjust your program, and incorporate hands-on treatment to manage any symptoms as you progress toward your running goals.
