About Sarah
With over 20 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families, Sarah brings a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centred approach to counselling.
She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology and has experience providing individual counselling to children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.
Sarah's approach is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She believes that every client has unique strengths and resilience, and she tailors therapy to meet each person's individual needs, goals, and lived experiences.
Drawing on her extensive background working in the education system and outreach, Sarah has developed a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health, and the importance of collaborating with families, educators, and community supports. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
Sarah believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. She strives to help clients build on their strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and foster resilience as they navigate life's challenges. Whether working with children, teens, adults, or families, her goal is to support each client in creating lasting growth, healing, and hope.
