About Sarah
Their own wordsI have a Masters Degree In Clinical Social Work Practice, I am a Registered Social Worker in good standing with Alberta College of Social Workers, completed a Bachelor of Criminology and achieved a Community Service Learning Certificate. I hold certificates in the therapy modalities of CBT, Narrative & EMDR.
With a person-centered, genuine, and direct approach, I embrace the opportunity to work alongside clients from a diverse population, particularly focused on youth, adults, and couples. My background includes wide-ranging work within the community/system for the last 15 years in numerous capacities ranging from victim advocate to a member of the Domestic Abuse High Risk Team. I specialize in trauma, grief and loss, sexual violence, sex work, addictions, and domestic violence.
After an extensive career within the community and advocating for diverse populations, I have shifted focus to private practice to work deeper along with individuals seeking assistance and guidance through life’s inevitable challenges. Methods I practice include trauma-informed, narrative therapy, cognitive-based therapy, EMDR, anti-oppressive practice, feminist and attachment theory. Through a combination of these methods, I seek to guide individuals and couples through their situations and build their personal skillsets to identify and address difficulties.
