About Sarah
Their own words###Registered Provisional Psychologist
#####I work with adults and couples, specializing in a wide variety of relationship and emotional struggles.
I believe the relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most important factors in your healing journey. My goal is to walk alongside you with compassion—always recognizing that you are the expert in your own life—and to support you in finding the clarity, peace, and answers you're seeking. My hope is that our work together helps you trust your experiences, connect with your emotions, and build safe, affirming relationships with both yourself and others.
Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship? Struggling to feel heard, or stuck in unhelpful patterns? Or perhaps you're looking to be proactive—investing in your relationship and deepening your understanding of your partner or yourself. I’m passionate about supporting adults and couples navigating attachment issues, emotional struggles, and relationship dynamics. I also offer preventative support, including premarital counselling.
#####“Before every session, I take a moment to remember my humanity. There is no experience that I cannot share, no fear that I cannot understand, no suffering that I cannot care about, because I too am human.” - Carl Rogers
Practicing from an attachment based lens, primarily using Emotionally-Focused Therapy, I view emotions as important signals and agents of change that we can be curious about and learn from to help us feel more connected in our lives. Our emotions and relationships give colour to our world, and many of our struggles can be traced back to difficult emotional experiences in our past relationships. I also intentionally use other approaches like the Gottman Method, tailored to your needs, integrating mindfulness and other coping strategies to build your toolbox.
#####Whether you're seeking insight into past patterns, support with present challenges, or tools for the future, it would be a privilege to be part of your journey.
Choosing to trust someone with your inner world is no small step, but a leap of faith. My clients can always expect compassion, respect, and a healthy dose of humor to help brighten even the toughest days.
