My journey in the field of counselling started on crisis and suicide lines, while listening to the client’s sharing, I experienced for the first time the power of being present and compassionate with a client. The sense of connection and presence experienced through the therapeutic relationship was so transformative that I wanted to experience it more in different clinical settings. I have worked as a clinician for the mobile crisis response team offering services to children, adults, and their families. I have had the honor of providing mental health services in Indigenous communities throughout Southern Manitoba. I have also supported clients in recovery, and this has allowed me to understand addiction from a holistic perspective. The diversity in my roles has helped me to understand Client’s needs, learn about their resilience, and the innate power of healing. It is interesting to reflect on the meaning of the names we have been given. My first name comes from the Latin language, which means “protector”, “servant”, “overcoming challenges”. I look forward to co-creating a safe space during our session to cultivate sharing that can blossom with the wisdom and richness of your own unique life experiences. I am honoured to support you in your journey. I nourish my soul through nature, writing, reading and beekeeping. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work, and I am currently in the process of completing my Master of Social Work. I offer equine-assisted therapy as a gentle, meaningful way to support healing, growth, and connection. Working alongside horses can create space for reflection, self-awareness, and emotional regulation in a way that feels grounding and natural. Horses have a unique way of meeting us exactly where we are, often helping us notice what is happening beneath the surface without pressure or judgment. This is non mounted and you do not need to have horse experience to engage.
