About Stephanie
Hi, my name is Stephanie Belaire. If you are looking for a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported - whether you are navigating something difficult, trying to better understand yourself, or simply carrying more than you can hold alone - I’d be glad to walk alongside you. I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with children, youth, adults, parents, and families across community mental health and clinical settings. I currently provide therapy services in Renfrew County and virtually across Ontario.
I recognize that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the healing process. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, collaborative, and strengths-based. I strive to meet clients where they are at while supporting them in making sense of their experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns in a way that feels manageable and meaningful to them.
Together, we work toward building self-understanding, confidence, emotional safety, and coping strategies that feel realistic within everyday life.
I have experience supporting individuals and families navigating anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, parenting challenges, relationship and family stressors, stress, burnout, and major life transitions. I also support children and youth experiencing emotional and behavioural challenges, anxiety, difficulties with confidence, peer relationships, and emotional regulation, while supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate these experiences alongside their child.
I have a special interest in perinatal mental health, including pregnancy and postpartum support, fertility and reproductive mental health, birth trauma, and perinatal grief and loss. I understand that the transition into parenthood can bring emotional, relational, and identity changes that many individuals do not expect or feel prepared for, and I aim to provide a compassionate and supportive space where individuals and families feel less alone in what they are carrying.
My work integrates evidence-based and nervous system-informed approaches including Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), attachment-based approaches, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), psycho-education, and nervous system regulation strategies.
You don't have to carry things alone.
If you are ready to take that first step, I would be glad to connect. Book a free consultation here on Jane, or inquire about availability at 613 585-3834. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out - just starting the conversation is enough.
Pick a service, then a length and setting — times on the right follow your choice.
