Sydney grew up in Okotoks, Alberta, and completed a Bachelor of Music in Integrated Studies with a minor in Psychology at the University of Calgary. She later earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Sydney has over five years of experience supporting individuals of all ages with diverse abilities. Her certifications include Spark the Change: Hastings’ Protocol for FES/NMES, Concussion Awareness Training Tool, Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, to name a few. She also attended the Saskatoon Rehabilitation Conference 2025, the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy Conference 2025, and Patient Engagement in Cerebral Palsy Research at the University of Calgary. She is passionate about working with children and committed to providing individualized, strengths-based care that honours each client’s unique profile. Her approach is neuroaffirming, play-focused, and centered on fostering meaningful participation in everyday activities.

Drawing on her background in music, Sydney thoughtfully incorporates musical elements into her occupational therapy practice, using them as a tool to support engagement, regulation, and connection in a way that aligns with each individual’s needs and interests.

In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing the trumpet with various bands and ensembles, as well as spending time outdoors through activities like hiking, kayaking, and exploring nature.

OT Therapy Assistant Led Session45 min

This is a therapy session led by one of our skilled therapy assistants.

Occupational Therapy + TA45 min

This is a 45-minute occupational therapy session with 15-min added for charting. A Therapy Assistant will be working alongside the therapist. The TA support allows for more complex exercises to be performed during the session, as well as for greater efficiencies, being that the TA assists with gathering supplies and prepping various therapy stations. The TA can also play the role of entertainer/distractor for younger kids that can easily get dysregulated. Various goals can be focused on within the session, including fine motor skills, sensory regulation, balance/coordination, emotional regulation, oral motor skills and others.

Occupational Therapy45 min

This is a 45-minute occupational therapy session, with an additional 15 min allotted for therapist documentation. Various goals can be focused on within the session, including fine motor skills, sensory regulation, balance/coordination, emotional regulation, oral motor skills and others. Being that this session is not supported by a Therapy Assistant, the caregiver may be required to play a part in assisting the therapist.

Occupational Therapy Assessment60 minNew patient

An Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment helps us understand how your child is developing the skills they need for everyday activities at home, school, and in the community. During the assessment, our Occupational Therapist will use a combination of play-based activities, observation, and conversation with you to learn about your child’s strengths and areas where they may need support. Following the appointment, a written assessment report summarizing the findings, recommendations, goals, and treatment plan will be provided within a few business days.
