About Tessa
I graduated with Honours from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy in Toronto, and I hold an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Community Mental Health and Addiction.
Drawing from five years experience in community harm reduction, I recognize that trauma and chronic illness are deeply intertwined with our social reality. I hold space for this complexity by treating the person behind the symptoms with depth, compassion, and care, informed by my growing knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and my experience supporting individuals living with intergenerational, systemic, or childhood trauma.
I am particularly interested in acupuncture’s capacity to support nervous system regulation, helping clients navigate stress, tension, or anxiety, while addressing the long term physical and emotional impacts of chronic imbalance. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to understanding each person within the full context of their health and lived experience.
My Intention with my practice is to provide safe, integrative, collaborative care to address chronic or fresh health concerns at the root. I believe acupuncture can create space within us that may offer an opportunity for us to witness our lives and story from a different perspective. I am fun, creative, and trustworthy, with a strong proponent of life-long learning, and I love to intuitively suggest relevant resources that may benefit your unique journey. Acu-Detox (NADA) Certified, I have run a popular and lively Acu-Detox group at Moss Park for over 1 year, supporting clients with chronic pain and withdrawal management.
