Hi, I’m Todd. A Registered Social Worker based in Newfoundland and Labrador with a passion for helping people on their mental health journey. I have been working in the field of mental health since I completed my Bachelor of Social Work at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2020. I am currently completing my Master of Social Work through the University of Waterloo.
Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of providing mental health services to people from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict and relationship issues, self-care, grief and loss, substance use and addiction issues, trauma, stress management, and personal-development. I offer services virtually and in person to children, youth, and adults.
Compassion, empathy, relationship building, and collaboration are the cornerstones of my practice. I work from a client-centered, harm-reduction, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed lens. I pull from evidence-based approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. In my downtime, you can find me outside camping, kayaking, and hiking with my husky Bucky.
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I deeply believe in the resilience of the human spirit and that growth and recovery are possible when hope and connection are fostered. I know how important it is to feel safe and heard in a warm and supportive environment, and I aim to provide this in all of my sessions.
