AjouterFor the past 18 years, I have worked in the human services field in various supportive roles for individuals and families. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor who believes that enhancing our mental wellness is facilitated when individuals feel supported in a genuine, empathetic and compassionate way. I have a very open-minded, holistic, strengths-based, collaborative approach to counselling to come alongside individuals to offer support while honoring their lived experience. I have a passion for educating others' on the topics of complex/developmental trauma, generational trauma and many other barriers that have affected their brain, body, spiritual, emotional and social development. I aim to enhance an individual’s and/or a family’s understanding of their strengths and resilience while utilizing eclectic interventions that fit their unique needs. My greatest strengths lie within my genuineness, intuitiveness, empathy and compassion for supporting others. Therefore, I place great importance on creating a safe, engaging and compassionate space for individuals to share and believe that this is paramount to facilitating and encouraging positive change based upon their goals.
In a supervisory role, I bring these qualities into the relationship with interns and colleagues and aim to create a similar environment to promote positive growth for clinicians while honoring their client's experiences in therapy.
