Victoria Armas (Cavaliere)
About Victoria
Their own wordsWhile it is not uncommon to experience distressing emotions, maladaptive thoughts, and difficult life events, we don’t always have the tools or strategies to manage. Inability to cope can make us feel ashamed, alone and overwhelmed. As a therapist, I work with my clients collaboratively to build a trusting therapeutic relationship so that individuals feel supported throughout the course of therapy. I will always provide a non-judgmental and welcoming space so that you can be the most authentic version of yourself while feeling safe enough to do so.
My areas of specialty include trauma, complex PTSD and eating disorders. I also have experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, attachment disorders and chronic illness. I work with adolescents, adults and first responders and uniform professionals. I also provide clinical supervision to other therapists.
I am here to support you through this journey while you take the most vulnerable step of all, reaching out for support. While therapy can be an uncomfortable process, I frequently remind my clients that change and growth happens when we are uncomfortable – this is a natural part of the process that won’t last forever.
