Yoga Based Pain Relief Acupuncture
Chronic pain puts your body into a defensive "lockdown." When you are guarding against pain, your Vagus nerve—the primary highway for your digestion—gets switched off to prioritize survival. This is why pain, stress, and bloating are almost always linked. To fix the pain, we have to restart the movement.
The 50/50 Partnership:
The Help (Acupuncture): Sara uses neuro-functional acupuncture to quiet the "guarding" response in your nervous system. By targeting specific Vagus nerve points, she helps dial down the pain signals and creates a window of opportunity where your body feels safe enough to move.
The Work (Yoga): While your system is in this "open" state, the work begins. Sara guides you through targeted Yoga Therapy to "un-ignore" the areas you’ve been protecting. You will learn specific movements to strengthen your stabilizers and use your breath to physically move your gut and spine.
The Result: You don’t just leave with less pain; you leave with the skill of self-regulation. You’ll know exactly how to use movement to keep your nervous system calm and your internal motility flowing.
Note: These are clinical treatments performed by Registered Therapists and are eligible for RMT or Acupuncture insurance receipts. Please wear comfortable, athletic clothing as 50% of the session involves active movement.

What it is
Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
Usually booked for
Ongoing tension that keeps coming back
A flare-up that changed how you move
Wanting a different approach than exercise alone
