ICBC Physiotherapy Assessment
This 45 minute visit is your first step toward recovery after a motor vehicle accident. Your physiotherapist will begin with a detailed assessment to understand your injuries, symptoms, and functional limitations. This includes a discussion of your accident, medical history, and goals, followed by a physical examination to evaluate mobility, strength, posture, and movement patterns.
Based on your assessment, your therapist will provide an individualized treatment plan. Your first session may include gentle manual therapy, guided exercises, education on injury management, and strategies to reduce pain and improve mobility. You will also receive a personalized home exercise program to support your recovery between visits.
