30 minutes is a good choice for getting started with Lymphatic Drainage and for subsequent treatment's after the intial.
Focus is on the face, neck and head.
**Assessment time is included in the appointment.**
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage therapy that is very gentle and relaxing, but it has powerful effects.
*This is not a regular massage, by any means.*
Intake forms MUST be filled in and submitted prior to treatment.
**There is a waiting period of at least 14 days after surgery, before any treatment can take place.**
This form of massage, focusing on the immune system, was created to move stagnate fluid back into circulation. It is a treatment option to help with reduction of edema, detoxification and an overall sense of well-being.
This may be applied to the face, arms, abdomen, etc.
Who should avoid lymphatic drainage?
There are some conditions and circumstances where lymphatic drainage massage
IS NOT RECOMMEND: You have a heart condition. You have kidney failure. You have blood clots.
** I also do not do any prenatal treatments**.
** Manual Lymphatic Drainage is not for everyone. **
It's important to note that lymphatic drainage techniques are not recommended for people who have a heart condition, Atrial fibrillation (AFIB), kidney problems or cellulitis or if you have an active infection.
*Please consult your physician prior to treatment if you have or think you may have any of these conditions.*
**Recent surgeries must have all incision sites healed, stitches and drains removed prior to treatment.
**Please note, all massage sessions include pre & post consultation, home care recommendations & disrobing in the allotted treatment time.
