Orthotic Check-Up
Orthotics: are customized insoles that can be worn in any type of shoe that will correct the way that you walk. These should be checked approximately a year after starting to use them to determine how worn the Orthotics are and a NEW Gait Analysis will be performed to see if your feet have changed in anyway. The Gait Analysis is a detailed look at how you walk.
A lot of information can be determined by analyzing how a person walks. The mechanisms by which the foot loads can affect the rest of the body, ALL the way up to the knees, hips and lower back!

Most of the appointment is spent examining how your feet are built and moving — skin, nails, joints, pressure points, gait and footwear — then dealing with the immediate issue through nail or skin care, padding, strapping or offloading, and sending you out with clear next steps.
