This initial appointment is designed to give us the time and space to fully understand you. The focus goes beyond symptom relief to gain clarity on why your body is presenting the way it is, and establishing a comprehensive, personalized plan forward.
We begin with a detailed health history, followed by thorough hands-on osteopathic assessments of all the systems and structures of the body (this may include blood pressure, neurovascular and neurological testing, fascial and organ restrictions, vertebral and other bone misalignment, psychosocial factors, viscerosomatic dysfunction, impaired fluid dynamics, pain referral points, and more) to identify patterns of tension, compensation, and restriction within the body. Movement and postural patterns will also be observed to better understand how your body functions in daily life.
Osteopathic lesions that are found during this initial assessment will be treated, with follow up appointments scheduled if necessary.
When appropriate, this assessment may be supported with prescriptive movement guidance and holistic nutrition insight to help address contributing factors beyond the treatment table. These recommendations are individualized and only included when relevant to your needs and goals.
