Acupuncture is an ancient healing practice and an integral component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It involves the insertion of very thin, sterile, disposable needles into the skin to stimulate certain points near the surface of the body. Qi is the energy that flows through your body, when qi is blocked or unbalanced this causes illness or pain. Needling Acupuncture points helps to move and unblock Qi, the stimulation causes a healing response as well as a release of natural chemicals such as endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers. Acupuncture treatments can be used to maintain overall wellness including stress management, studies have shown that it can be an effective treatment alone or in combination with conventional therapies, some conditions treated are: Back pain, knee pain, neck and shoulder pain, nausea, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, menstrual cramps, headaches, migraines, infertility, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, sciatica
