Cupping Massage is a type of massage which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for several thousand years. A vacuum like suction is created inside the cup, and then placed on the body. The massage therapist will typically move the cup around in a circular motion, which causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. The suction sensation helps to mimic the rolling action of a deep tissue massage without the discomfort.
