This is the first step in a two-part process designed to understand how your body is currently moving, compensating, and supporting itself — and how to restore more efficient, supported patterns. Rather than jumping straight into exercises, this session focuses on clarity and precision. We identify what your body is doing now so your program is built on what it actually needs — not guesswork. What We Do in Part 1 1. Full-Body Structural Assessment Using the 5 BRM pillars (upper body mobility, core, pelvis, pelvic floor, movement patterns), we assess: posture and alignment gait and movement patterns range of motion breath mechanics how your body distributes load This reveals: what is overworking vs underworking where your body is compensating which areas lack support or control how efficiently your system transfers force 2. Pattern Mapping (What’s Driving the Compensation) We look beyond isolated symptoms to understand: how your body has adapted over time which patterns are protecting vs limiting you where tension, restriction, or instability originates From a whole-system lens, your body is not broken — it is organizing around what it has learned and experienced. 3. Body Awareness, Nervous System & Pattern Communication Your movement patterns are not just mechanical. They are shaped by how your body has learned to protect, stabilize, and adapt over time — physically, neurologically, and emotionally. In this part of the assessment, we explore how your system may be holding patterns such as: chronic bracing or protection collapse or lack of support over-effort or over-control difficulty accessing ease, stability, or grounding These are not random. They are intelligent adaptations your body has developed in response to stress, injury, lifestyle, and past experiences. You will also receive insight into what your primary compensation and holding patterns may be communicating, helping you understand: why your body defaults to certain strategies what it may be trying to protect or manage how these patterns influence both movement and overall function This step is essential, because it informs what type of movement your body will actually respond to — not just what looks correct on paper. After Your Session I take time to: analyse your full assessment connect the patterns across your system identify root drivers of compensation design a personalised movement and integration plan map your primary structural and body-awareness patterns, so your program addresses both mechanics and the underlying drivers Part 2 — Integration & Program (Booked Separately) Your second session is where everything comes together. We will: walk through your assessment findings understand your body’s key patterns begin your personalised movement program practise and refine each exercise together This ensures you leave with clarity, confidence, and a plan your body can actually integrate. Booking Notes Part 1 (Assessment) is booked first Part 2 (Integration) is booked at least 24 hours later This allows time for detailed analysis and program design Who This Is For This work is ideal if you: feel tight, weak, or imbalanced but don’t know why have ongoing pain or recurring issues want a structured, intelligent approach to movement are ready to understand your body — not just push through it What This Is Not not a generic workout not passive treatment not quick fixes This is a process of retraining how your body supports and moves. Your body is not working against you. It is communicating through the patterns it has learned to survive in. This process helps you understand those patterns — and begin to change them.
