During this hour, we will discuss your background, current challenges, and therapy goals to ensure that EMDR is a suitable approach for you.

60 minFollow-upYour EMDR session will involve guided bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or taps) to help reprocess distressing memories in a safe and supportive environment. We will work at your pace, incorporating grounding techniques as needed to ensure your comfort throughout the process. EMDR is designed to reduce emotional intensity and promote healing, leading to lasting relief from past experiences. EMDR is evidence-based and is helpful for mental wellness and addictive behaviours. Please note: This session is 60 minutes long but may extend up to 90 minutes. Please let your therapist know if you need to leave at the 60-minute mark.
