Intake - EMDR ** - In Person
60-minute in person session. Your first EMDR appointment is an assessment session designed to help your therapist understand your experiences, history, and goals for therapy. During this session, you will discuss what brings you to EMDR, identify the concerns you would like to address, and explore whether EMDR is an appropriate approach for your needs.
Your therapist will also provide information about the EMDR process, answer questions, and begin preparing you for future reprocessing sessions if EMDR is determined to be a good fit.

What it is
Most of this first counselling visit is spent talking through what has been happening, how long it has been weighing on you, and what feels hardest right now — with the rest on clarifying patterns, goals, and boundaries so you leave knowing how the work together could be structured.
