Behavioural Therapy - First Appointment - (Centre-Based)
Please choose this appointment (ie. 'First Appointment") for your first booking with us.
Behavioural Therapy Appointments can be delivered at home or in our facility. In a behavioral therapy appointment, the therapist works closely with the child to identify specific challenges and set clear, achievable goals. Sessions often involve observing and analyzing behaviors to understand their triggers and underlying patterns. Using structured techniques like positive reinforcement, the therapist guides the child in practicing new, adaptive behaviors to replace problematic ones. For children with autism, sessions may focus on improving social skills, communication, or adaptive behaviors, while for those with ADHD, the emphasis might be on managing impulses, staying organized, and improving focus. Parents are often involved, learning strategies to support their child’s progress at home. Each appointment provides practical tools and exercises tailored to the child’s needs, helping them build essential skills and foster meaningful improvements in their daily lives and relationships.
