ICBC Counselling - Telephone session
Your virtual visit with our Clinical Counsellor requires you to have a device that is set up with your "Jane" account. The device must permit audio and video. A personalized treatment plan and therapy goals will be created with the therapist, if it has not already been done. All future visits will review the plan, creating various means to achieve the desired outcome that are meaningful to the client. Each visit will include some home follow up activities that the client is able to complete. If the client would like to bring a support person to the sessions they are invited to do so.
Online counselling can be carried out via your Janeapp account or Telephone.
Video counselling allows you to meet with your counsellor in real time. This is the most similar to meeting in-person. It is ideal if you prefer seeing the counsellor face-to-face and allows her to really see how you are feeling and what you are needing.
Phone- Some clients prefer to meet via phone because they feel like they can go deeper into their feelings without having a person observing them.
Whichever venue that you prefer, online counselling has many advantages such as being more accessible, and convenient.
