Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) incorporated in a Massage
Incorporated in a 60 minutes massage, manual lymphatic drainage is a technique used to gently work and stimulate the lymphatic system, to assist in reduction of localized swelling. The lymphatic system is a network of slow moving vessels in the body that carries cellular waste toward the liver, to be filtered and removed. Lymph also carries lymphocytes and other immune system agents.
Use light stokes to move excess lymph and fluid (edema) out of the tissues and back into the lymphatic vessels. MLD techniques are also useful in reducing the formation of scar tissue.
Hydrotherapy is also blended-in during the session.
