Physiotherapy Assistants (PTA) work with Physiotherapists and are responsible for providing patient care and encouraging patients to complete specific treatment plans related to injury, illness or disability. This may include assisting with walking, transfers and safe mobility, assisting the patient with his/her individual physical programs, assisting in or conducting group activities / exercise programs. The PTA will work closely with the physiotherapist and monitor and report changes in health status to the supervising clinician.
