Pelvic Health Physiotherapy focuses on conditions affecting the pelvic floor, bladder, bowel, core, and pelvis. (ex. Urinary incontinence and urgency, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, bowel dysfunction, diastasis recti, and related low back, hip or pelvic girdle pain)
The assessment includes a comprehensive external examination and, when appropriate, an internal pelvic floor examination to help better understand your symptoms and guide treatment.
The internal examination is recommended as it provides valuable clinical information, but it is entirely optional and will only be performed with your informed consent.
