As a new client, this will be our initial assessment session. It will be my job to be curious and ask
lots of questions – though of course we will go at your pace and you can share as much or as
little with me as you’d like. We will also collaboratively set goals for our work together to get us started. If it feels supportive, we can also discuss some resources or tools that might be helpful for you to begin implementing until our next session.
My work is concentrated in Perinatal Mental Health, Perinatal Grief and Loss, and Reproductive and Birth Trauma. Using Attachment and Polyvagal Theory, and shaped by Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic and parts work (IFS), and trauma processing, I may invite clients to explore how the nervous system holds stress or trauma, the stories they carry about themselves or parenthood, and discover together what helps them
feel most safe, seen, and supported. This might mean noticing what the body is telling them, getting curious about inner parts or protective patterns, or simply having space to exhale and be met with compassion and understanding.
Babies are always welcome in session.
