The scraping technique is used to palpate and identify areas of muscle adhesion, or scar-like tissue, that can be improved. There may be some discomfort during treatment, but the instrument should not cause intense pain. Some slight bruising may occur.
Cupping is used to create suction on the skin. It can be used for many purposes including pain management, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
