Cosmetic acupuncture works to promote blood flow to the skin to create a perfect glow, reduces puffiness by encouraging proper blood and lymph drainage, increases collagen production minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, and helps to tighten facial muscles to prevent your face/chin/neck from falling, which happens naturally as we age.
Additionally, our practitioners use special facial gua sha jade tools and facial cups. The gua sha tools that have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin (similar to jade rollers). Facial gua sha helps to gently relax tight face/scalp muscles, cool the skin, gently break apart the walls of stubborn wrinkles, and flush the skin of impurites. Facial gua sha does not bruise or mark the skin on the face and feels very relaxing, the perfect way to end your cosmetic acupuncture treatment.
Facial cups use a gentle suction and are moved over the face with our “Communion Botanicals” facial oil to gently bring blood to the surface of the skin creating a glow, reduce puffiness by improving lymph drainage and pull impurities out of the skin. After facial cupping, your skin will feel tighter and more moisturized.
Red light therapy (RLT) for the face uses low-level, non-heat-emitting, red wavelengths (600-700nm) to stimulate skin cell mitochondria, boosting energy, collagen, and circulation. It reduces inflammation, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture, fades acne/scars, and promotes a firmer, more rejuvenated complexion.
