Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy PESSARY CARE FOLLOW-UPS
2-4 weeks after starting pessary use
If the patient is unable to self-manage cleaning their pessary they will require physiotherapy
follow-ups every 3-6 months
If patients have extended health care benefits that cover “physiotherapy services”, we can direct bill for the initial assessment, pessary fitting and follow-up appointment costs. Patients will have to self-pay for the pessary itself.

Most of the appointment is spent figuring out what your body can and can’t do — talking through the pattern of the problem, then checking movement, strength, balance and specific tests — with some hands-on treatment or exercise coaching and a plan to take away.
