Manual Lymphatic drainage massage, is a therapeutic techniques designed to stimulate the movement of lymph fluid throughout the body. The primary goal of MLD is to encourage the flow of lymph, which helps in detoxifying the body, reducing swelling (edema), improving circulation, and boosting the immune system. Unlike regular massage techniques, MLD uses gentle, precise, and rhythmic movements, applying light pressure to stimulate the lymphatic system, which does not have its own pumping mechanism like the circulatory system to relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system.
Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.
