This is the treatment to book if you are a new patient. An acupuncture first visit is 90 minutes in duration and involves an in-depth consultation about the overall picture of your health, as well as expectations, goals, and treatment plan.
Consultation is followed by acupuncture treatment with the possible addition of cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, or moxibustion as appropriate for your condition.
Lifestyle and dietary advice are offered as well.

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
