Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been around for thousands of years. It involves the insertion of thin single use, disposable needles into specific points along the body. When booking a general acupuncture treatment other modalities may be used as well such as electro-acupuncture, cupping, gua sha or tui na massage depending on the patients needs and preference.

Most of the session is the treatment itself — needles placed at selected points and left in place for a stretch, sometimes with heat or electrical stimulation — with a shorter check-in on what changed after last time and any small adjustments before you leave with the next step in the plan.
