Art of Awareness is an engaging and interactive program designed to help neurodiverse and neurotypical children understand and manage their emotions in a fun and creative way. Through a combination of mindfulness, breathing techniques, movement, and art, this program equips kids with the tools they need to navigate their feelings and develop self-regulation skills. In a safe and supportive environment, children will learn to: * Identify and Understand Emotions: Explore different feelings and how they show up in the body. * Practice Mindfulness & Breathing Techniques: Use calming breath work and mindful practices to help stay grounded in the moment. * Express Emotions Creatively: Use art, movement, and other creative activities to express and release emotions in a healthy, constructive way. * Develop Self-Regulation Tools: Learn strategies to manage big feelings, reduce stress, and build emotional resilience. This group is co-facilitated by Brooke Myers, a Registered Behaviour Analyst, and Keelin O'Hara, who has extensive training in mindfulness, art, and dance. OAP funding can be used or insurance if you have coverage for Applied Behaviour Analysis in your health benefits plan.
