**Please note I, (Sarah) unfortunately have had to pause accepting any new clients as I am at full capacity. My colleague, Tina, is still accepting new clients**. Hot stone massage is a type of massage, also known as geo-thermo-therapy, where stones are heated with water. Hot stone massage follows the principles of hydrotherapy. While it can feel like a relaxation treatment, the stones are able to sink more deeply into the tissue for a satisfying and therapeutic effect
I will be using Basalt stones for this treatment, they are direct from the Andes Mountains. They are authentic volcanic stones that are hand picked from the river beds of the Andes Mountains in South America. They have all been naturally polished and smooth from the elements of the earth - retaining their high heat abilities.
The hot stones can be placed on the stomach, back, feet, chest, face, and even the toes and the palms of your hands.
The placement of the stones can help relieve pain in your problem areas and you will feel me alternating between using the hot stones and my hands for your full body massage.
Some of the noted benefits of hot stone:
Increases circulation
• Improves lymphatic circulation
• Decreases muscle and joint pain
• Decreases tension headaches
• Promotes increased well – being and vitality
• Reduces overall stress
