Virtual Assessment - Psychotherapy
Initial Assessment for (new clients). A comprehensive bio-psycho-social spiritual assessment where the client and therapist work together to develop a shared understanding of the client's presenting problems, needs, goals, resources, strengths and values. This assessment will inform the treatment plan including the frequency and number of sessions as well as the modalities used. The assessment stage is also a great opportunity to begin building an open, safe, trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
Assessments involve gathering key information assessing mental health history, exploring risk and safety concerns, understanding support systems, assessing motivation, establishing goals and creating a treatment plan. Assessments help ensure effective and appropriate treatment as well as clarifying expectations and logistics.
