When I work with an Infant/Child, my intention is to make them comfortable with the surroundings, with myself and with the treatment. I explain to the caregiver and child what can be expected during and after the treatment. They do not have to lie still. We move, we play and we engage as I work with them. I empower them by getting their consent verbally, as well as, I am constantly observing for non-verbal cues.
