Pre-Walkers Motor Milestone Group (4 weeks)

This class includes 4 sessions over 8 weeks that is $60/session and $240 in total. We cannot direct bill for this class but it can be covered by some insurance providers, contact your insurance provider for details. You must sign up for the entire course and you must have a physiotherapy assessment at our clinic prior to the course. Our “pre-walkers” class is a group class run by a registered physiotherapist and each child will be assessed and treated on a 1-1 basis according to their needs. This class is best for babies ages ~8-12 months that are not yet walking. The class centres around parent education on motor milestone development and progression, as well as discusses common paediatric concerns. The purpose of this class is preventative intervention, with the goal of educating parents on activities they can do with their child to avoid common paediatric conditions such as delayed gross motor development, poor sitting positions and posture, and alignment issues. Topics covered will include crawling, standing, cruising, transitions, and walking. The program serves to promote infant development and provide information on purposeful play.
