A signature Kneaded Bodywork twist on the ancient Ayurvedic practice of Shirodhara, designed to restore deep harmony to body, mind, and spirit. After preparing the head with warmed, organic, tridosha-balancing herbal oil, a gentle stream is poured continuously over the forehead (the “third eye”), calming the mind and soothing the entire nervous system.
This deeply meditative treatment works on the pineal gland, helping to ease sleep disorders, stress, anxiety, headaches/migraines, and hormonal imbalances. Warmed jade stones are placed for balancing and grounding.
The Sanskrit name for the third eye chakra is Ajna (pronounced “AHN-yah” or sometimes “AHJ-nah”), which translates to “perceive,” “command,” or “beyond wisdom.” My third-eye indigo blue crystal singing bowl is used to activate and awaken your intuition.
