45 minute cupping session begins with a brief assessment to understand the client's physical needs and concerns. Based on this assessment, an insertion of two acupuncture needles may be used to target areas of tension or discomfort. Following this, gentle Tuina massage techniques are applied to further loosen the muscles and prepare the body for cupping. Next, glass cups are applied to the skin and slid along the back, shoulders, or other targeted areas to create a vacuum effect that promotes circulation and relieves muscle tension. Gua Sha is a massage tool that will be applied to the neck, enhancing the therapeutic benefits of the treatment
This treatment is fully covered by extended medical benefits.

What it is
Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
