Pre-Birth (36 weeks onwards). Acupuncture as a weekly treatment leading up to birth may decrease the chances of medical intervention, pain, and duration of labour while also decreasing feelings of stress and anxiety.
Acupressure for use during labour can also be demonstrated and explained. Stickers or press-tack needles may be applied for a support person to press during labour.
