This treatment is amazing for patients with neck, back and leg tension. Cupping is the opposite pressure of a massage as the suction created is an upward and outward motion instead of hand applied pressure targeting into the muscle. This modality has the same effect of releasing muscle tension and improving circulation with the added benefit of releasing toxins.
Guasha uses a stone tool that is applied in a scraping motion. This helps break up stagnation and muscle tension as well.
This treatment is especially recommended for physically active patients who need deeper pressure and relief. The cups can be retained for up for 15 minutes and the remaining time will include Guasha and shiatsu body work.

What it is
Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
