Once you get started on hormone therapy you will be required to book follow-up appointments at regular intervals; typically every 3 or 6 months, depending on the duration of your treatment. This protocol has to be followed to allow your doctor to assess your progress, evaluate blood work, monitor your response to treatment, and ensure your safety.
It is important to understand that prescriptions may require adjustments over the course of your hormone treatment.
