Follow-up visits involve a review of the clients’ current state of health and an assessment of treatment progress. Acupuncture is best practiced in the context of a series of treatments vs one-off sessions in order to see marked improvement. Unique attention will be paid to the client’s psycho-emotional health and sessions will hold space for honouring the ways in which our psychology and emotions intersect with physical symptoms. When applicable, acupuncture sessions may be accompanied by the use of moxibustion, gua sha, or cupping.

What it is
Most of the session is the treatment itself — needles placed at selected points and left in place for a stretch, sometimes with heat or electrical stimulation — with a shorter check-in on what changed after last time and any small adjustments before you leave with the next step in the plan.
